Dylan Skeadas

Facilities Manager

 

Dylan Skeadas has been with Mile High Ministries since August 2012. Dylan was born in Santa Barbara, CA, but grew up in CO, where he went to 4 different high schools: Machebeuf, Evergreen, Littleton, and South. He has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Mississippi College.

 

Previously Dylan has worked for Voice of Calvary Ministries and Habitat for Humanity in Jackson, MS. He has also owned his own remodeling business for 15 years. Dylan brings 15 years of construction and remodeling skills to the facilities position. He has also been a house leader for Habitat for Humanity (after Katrina), and a volunteer leader for new construction and remodels. He has spent 12 years working and living in inner-city Jackson, MS as part of the John Perkins Center and also the Voice of Calvary Ministries and church. He brings a passion for those in need, and has spent most of life living with and helping the poor.

 

What Dylan loves most about working at Mile High Ministries is that no matter how hard and chaotic every day can get, there is always that one moment when a kid yells out his name with joy, or a resident at Joshua Station takes time to share what little food they have, or a volunteer comes and renews his energy levels by showing a servant's heart.

 

Dylan hopes that in the next few years he will grow abundantly in love for others; he thinks it’s kind of hard not to in a place like Mile High Ministries. He also wants to stay long enough so that he sees children at Joshua Station come back as adults to serve others and hang out with the staff.
