Heather Krause has worked as a Ministry Associate at Joshua Station since September 2013. She was born and raised in Wisconsin, but came to Denver from Duluth, Minnesota after completing her Master's in Social Work at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She earned her Bachelor's in Social Work in 2007 from the University of Wisconsin Superior. Most of her work in the field has been with children, youth and families; she’s held positions in a maternity home and a domestic violence and sexual abuse shelter. She has also worked with youth at both the middle school and high school levels, as well as working with families in supervised visitation and spending some time in the Philippines as a Peace Corps Volunteer working with girls who were sexually abused and/or coming out of sex trafficking. Her heart and passion is to come alongside people and walk through the hard stuff with them; to let them tell their story the way it happened to them, allowing them a place to voice their experience, sometimes for the first time. This is one of the reasons she loves working at Mile High Ministries, because MHM encourages her to do just that. She looks forward to doing life with the folks here at Joshua Station and Mile High Ministries. She can’t wait to see and be part of the little glimpses of the Kingdom that God has in store.
