Scott Dewey

Program Director

I grew up in the hills of rural Colorado, hanging out with coyotes and rattlesnakes. I vowed never to live where I could see my nearest neighbor, which in retrospect demonstrates God’s sense of humor in leading us along in life. As a college student I fell in love with the streets of Chicago and have loved living in cities ever since—later in Bangkok, and for the last 16 years in northeast Denver.

Highlights of city life have been neighbors and friends, my church family at Anchor of Hope where I’m a deacon, and our close-knit ministry team at Mile High Ministries. My wife, Melanie, teaches in a nearby elementary school, and my 3 kids have been shaped deeply by growing up in our diverse neighborhood.
