Scott Jenkins

Staff Chaplain

I appreciated growing up in the suburbs of Waterloo, Iowa. It was “grounding” for me in many ways. I graduated from Point Loma College in San Diego in 1978. These years brought both growth and strength to me. From ’79 to ’83, I attended The Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Ca. Graduation opened the doors to ordination and to teaching. This season of my life brought renewed confidence and a deepening sense of gratitude.

From 1996 to the present, my wife, Kristi and our 5 adult daughters and 12 grandchildren are blessed to call Colorado, “home.” Our little parish has helped give birth to 3 other communities in the greater Front Range. These years have been rewarding as they have been challenging. I serve MHM as chaplain to their staff on Tuesday mornings where we encounter the living Word of God within the Holy Scriptures and each other. This season with MHM has been enlivening for me. I only hope I have touched the lives of the staff as they have graced my own.
