Steve graduated from Western Bible College (now Colorado Christian University) with a B.S. in Pastoral Studies, earned his MA in New Testament from Denver Seminary and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law (1997).  Prior to entering law school, Steve was a youth pastor and Christian Community Development worker in Denver.  Steve is currently the Attorney Director of the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Clinic in Denver.  Steve lives with his wife, Liz, and their children (Sarah, Leah, and Jordan) in Denver’s Whittier neighborhood and attends Celebration Community Church where he serves as an Elder.
